Your Stay, Simply Explained
We want you to feel confident and comfortable booking your holiday with us. Here’s a quick, guest-friendly guide to how things work at Gwendon Holiday Home.
📍 1. Where You’ll Be Staying
This agreement is for your holiday at Gwendon, our stylish seaside retreat located at:
5 Craig Ddu, Amlwch, Anglesey, LL68 9EH.
That’s the place you’ll be relaxing, exploring, and making memories!
📅 2. Booking Your Stay

A 25% deposit secures your booking. Until it’s paid, the booking is provisional.

The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. If you’re booking within 6 weeks of your stay, full payment is needed upfront.

You’ll get reminders, so you don’t need to worry about forgetting!
❌ 3. Cancellations (by You)
Plans change – we get it. If you need to cancel:

Cancel more than 5 weeks before arrival: Full refund minus your deposit.

Cancel 3–5 weeks before: We refund 60–70%.

Cancel 1–3 weeks before: We refund 15–40%.

Cancel less than 1 week before: Sorry, no refund.
💡 We strongly recommend travel insurance – just in case!
🏡 4. If We Have to Cancel
In the rare event something unexpected prevents us from hosting you:

We’ll try to find you a suitable alternative.

If not, you’ll get a full refund of any money paid.

No further compensation can be offered, but we’ll do our best to help.
🦠 5. Covid-Related Cancellations
If a national or local lockdown prevents you from travelling or us from hosting:

You’ll get a full refund, no matter when you cancel.
👨👩👧👦 6. Who Can Stay

Gwendon sleeps up to 6 guests (plus infants in a travel cot).

Only guests listed on your booking are allowed to stay overnight.

Day visitors are welcome – just let us know in advance.

We can’t allow more than 6 adults staying overnight at the property at any time.
🐾 7. Bringing Pets

We’re dog-friendly and welcome multiple well-behaved dogs.

Pets are allowed in bedrooms and on beds if you use your own bedding or the throws we provide.

Please don’t leave dogs alone in the house (unless it’s been agreed by us) and remember to clean up after them in the garden.

You’ll be responsible for any damage or extra cleaning caused by your pets.
🚗 8. Parking & EV Charging

There’s off-street parking for 2–3 cars. Please use the drive and don’t park in front of our neighbours.

We have a dedicated EV charger – available for an extra fee (please let us know in advance).

Please don’t use granny cables – they’re not allowed for safety reasons.
⏰ 9. Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from 4:00 pm.

Check-out is by 11:00 am.

You’ll receive entry info by text and our digital guidebook a couple of days before your stay.
🧼 10. Cleanliness & Early Departures

We work hard to make sure everything is spotless for your arrival.

If something’s not quite right, please let us know straight away so we can sort it.

If you leave early without giving us the chance to put things right, we may not be able to offer a refund.

Before you go, please leave things tidy: wash up, bin your rubbish, and take any food with you.
🔨 11. Accidents Happen

You’ll be asked to complete a simple verification process with Truvi (our trusted partner) and pay a £35 damage waiver, which protects against accidental damage up to £500.

This is non-refundable but gives peace of mind.

We don’t charge for small accidents or normal wear and tear.
⚠️ 12. Other Useful Bits

The property is strictly non-smoking or vaping.

We may need to access the property during your stay for maintenance or emergencies – we’ll always try to notify you first.

Guests must behave respectfully; we reserve the right to end your stay without refund if this isn’t the case.
🛑 13. Force Majeure
We can’t be held responsible for events beyond our control (like storms, power cuts, illness, etc.), but we’ll always do our best to help.
💬 14. Got a Problem?
Please tell us right away if something isn’t right. We genuinely want to make things better during your stay – not after you’ve gone home.
