The guest is the person who signs the booking form or, in the case of online booking, the person who makes the online payment. This person is responsible for ensuring all members of the holiday party accept and adhere to these terms and conditions. The guest is also referred to as ‘you’.

The property referred to being Gwendon, 5 Craig Ddu, Amlwch, Anglesey LL68 9EH.

Bookings

A booking deposit of 25% is payable within three days of the provisional booking being taken. The booking is taken on a provisional basis until the deposit has been paid in full and funds cleared through the banking system (where appropriate). The booking then becomes confirmed. Until the booking is confirmed, it can be cancelled at any time without prior notice.

The balance of the rental charge, along with any breakage deposit (which the owner reserves the right to charge), is payable six weeks prior to the start of the holiday. Failure to pay the deposit or balance in full by the due dates will constitute a cancellation of the holiday by the guest. Please be sure to note the due dates of these payments. Reminders will be sent to you by email when payment is due.

Bookings made six weeks or less prior to the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellation by the guest

Cancellation of the booking by the guest should be made by email and sent to stay@gwendon.co.uk. If the booking is cancelled and the arrival is greater than five weeks away, a full refund of the monies paid, less the deposit, will be given. If the booking is cancelled less than five weeks before the arrival date a refund of 70% of the booking will be given; if cancelled less than four weeks prior, a refund of 60% will be given; if less than three weeks a refund of 40% will be given; if less than two weeks a refund of 15% will be given and if cancelled less than one week prior to arrival then the full 100% will be retained by us.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance.

Cancellation by the property owner

The property owner will endeavour to make sure the stated property is available for the dates contracted. In the unlikely event the property becomes unavailable and the property owner has to cancel the booking, the property owner will endeavour to find the guest suitable alternative accommodation. If suitable alternative accommodation cannot be found, the guest shall be entitled to a full refund. The property owner shall only be liable to return the monies received. No compensation or consequential losses shall be paid.

Covid Lockdowns

In the event of a national or local lockdown affecting either the property or the guest, which prevents travel to the property, a full refund will be given regardless of how long prior to the arrival date. Other than outlined above, no refunds will be given due to illness of the guest or any of their party.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance.

Force Majeure

The property owner cannot accept responsibility or liability for any alterations, delay or cancellation or any other loss or damage caused by Act of God, war, civil strife, terrorist action, industrial disputes, fire, sickness, bad weather, epidemics, acts of any government or public authority, infrastructure failures & outages (transportation, energy), or any other event outside our control.

Miscellaneous

Whilst every care is taken to provide a true and accurate description of the property, over time, alterations are made and some things do change. The guest accepts that no refunds are available for such discrepancies.

The property owner reserves the right to enter the property, at a reasonable time, in the event of an emergency or remedial repair work being required.

The property owner reserves the right to ask the guest and their party to leave the property, without refund, should the behaviour of the guest or their holiday party be considered by the property owner to be unreasonable.

The property owner reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest, who in the property owner’s opinion, isn’t suitable to or capable of taking charge of the property.

Number of Guests

The maximum number of people entitled to stay at this property is six (6) (not including babies or infant young enough to use a travel cot option) and furthermore, only those people named on the booking form are entitled to stay.

If it is found that more people than agreed are using the property, this will be considered a breach of contract and the guest and his/her party will be asked to leave immediately without any refund.

Sub-letting or assignation of the property is strictly prohibited.

Pets

Pets are allowed at the property subject to the property owner’s agreement. All pets must be house-trained and the number and type of pet must not exceed what was agreed at the time of booking, otherwise, a breach of contract will be deemed to have taken place.

Pets must not be left unaccompanied in the property at any time. Pets must not be allowed on the beds unless by prior consent by the owners.

We provide a large secure garden for your pets to enjoy. The garden is mature and some of the plants may not be pet-friendly, therefore please ensure your pets don’t consume the plants. Please ensure that the garden is clear of pet faeces and pick up after your pet.

The guest shall be liable for any damage caused by his/her pet or any pet belonging to the holiday party. A charge will be made for any additional cleaning required.

The property owner cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury to a pet during their stay.

Parking / EV Charging

The property benefits from off-road parking for two/three cars. There is additional space on the roadside. Please be considerate to our neighbours and park on the drive. Please ensure that you don’t park across residents’ drives. We provide a dedicated 7kWh EV charging point for guests at an extra charge based on our current tariff. The charging point will be unlocked to guests who pay the additional charge. Charging an electric vehicle by any other method such as an in-line charger (granny cable) is strictly prohibited. If it’s deemed a guest is charging an electric vehicle by other methods, we reserve the right to charge a fee to cover the electricity used. Please see our separate Electric Vehicle Charging Policy for further details.

Arrival and Departure Time

Every effort will be made to have the property available from 4:00 pm on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure. Late departure may result in an additional charge being made.

Information about entry via the door code will be provided via our digital guidebook and email/text message a couple of days before departure.

Liability

The property owner takes no responsibility for the personal possessions of the guest or the holiday party. Vehicles and possessions are left entirely at the risk of the guest.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Cleaning

We would like to think the guest and the holiday party would treat the property as they would their own home, and at the end of the holiday the property is left in a clean and tidy condition. The property owner retains the right to make an additional charge for cleaning should the property not be left in a similar condition to the way it was found at the start of the holiday.

Breakages & Damage Waiver / Breakage Deposit

All bookings are subject to guests completing our independent verification with our risk management partner, Superhog. You will be contacted via email and/or text to complete the verification.

The guest should make every effort to keep the property, fixtures and fittings and all contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of the holiday. Any accidental damage or breakages should be reported to the property owner (or their representative) prior to departure.

Please note: You’ll be given the option of purchasing a £35 non-refundable damage waiver  OR  a £500 refundable breakage deposit. This is payable directly to Superhog. We recommend you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking, as we would claim directly with Superhog.

The property owner retains the right to make a claim with our risk management company, Superhog, for damage and breakages, although it should be noted that minor breakages and reasonable wear and tear (in the opinion of the property owner) will not be charged for or claimed against.

If the guest has paid the £35 non-refundable damage deposit waiver, then there will not be any claim for any breakages.

If the guest has paid the £500 damage deposit, this will be refunded within 7 days by Superhog in the event of no damage. In the event of significant breakages, the value will be deducted from the deposit and the remainder refunded.

Complaints

Every endeavour is made to ensure your stay with us is memorable for all the right reasons. However, we do recognise that from to time things do go wrong. In these circumstances, it is the responsibility of the guest to make any such problem known to the property owner (or their representative) immediately it becomes apparent, thereby giving the property owner the opportunity to correct the situation.

If the guest doesn’t inform the property owner at the time of any problems that arise, we shall not be liable for any future claims. The property owner will make every endeavour to rectify any identified problems as soon as is reasonably possible.entry
